About The Director

Odori Pendleton is an innovative music educator who has over 15 years of experience. She began singing in high school and learned the piano in college. She received a scholarship through Duquesne University for guitar and took Guitar Level 1 through NAfME. After receiving her Bachelors in Music Education from Virginia Polytechnic and State University (AKA Virginia Tech) she learn dulcimer, guitar, and banjo while receiving her masters Degree at Loyola University in 2012 for Kodaly Music Education. 
Mrs. Pendleton taught in the public school system for 11 years, in addition, she taught musicianship classes and was an interim choral director for Fairfax Choral Society from 2012-2015. In  the last 2 years Mrs. Pendleton has taught at Evangel Christian School as the lower elementary chorus and general music teacher. Mrs. Pendleton has experience teaching piano, guitar, and voice. She has experience preparing students for music schools, district and state vocal competitions, and college auditions. She believes music lessons build an array of skills, to include increased hand-eye coordination, hearing awareness, and social participation. She uses techniques that are fun and engaging.

Our Team

Principle Accompanist

Our principle accompanist, Mr. Neil Alexander, has been with us for several years, accompanying our solo vocalists at our semi-annual recitals. Mr. Alexander started his musical career at age six and has been accompanying Elementary, Middle and High School choirs for many, many years, most recently at Woodbridge MS and Saunders MS in Prince William County, Virginia. He is also an accomplished organist. His first permanent position as organist was at a large church in his home town in Oregon when he was only 15, and has been playing at numerous churches ever since. He is presently the organist at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Woodbridge, Virginia.

Part Time Studio Teacher

Courtney Johnson is a musician who began studying the piano at age nine and teaching individual lessons in high school. She participated in her church band both directing and playing the piano, played for Sunday School, played the keyboard in the Osbourn Park Marching Band, and participated in various community and fine arts competitions throughout high school. While in college, she studied piano history, performance, composition, and vocalist accompanying. She received her Bachelor's of Music Performance in 2011 from Virginia Tech after having completed her Junior Recital performing pieces with a soprano, and various solo pieces from artists including Debussy, Gershwin, and culminating in Chopin's Ballade No. 3.
In her spare time, Courtney is active in church, directing choirs and praise teams, as well as visiting senior homes to minister to the residents. Courtney is passionate about helping students reach their fullest potential, and believes that with proper time, commitment, drive, and guidance, the sky is the limit.

Audio Engineer & Part Time Studio Teacher

Roland Wohlrab is a pianist, percussionist and audio engineer who has a passion for music. He began private piano lessons at the age of 6 while his percussion journey began at 9. He has since taken part in many recitals and performances for piano as well as all percussion-related school activities offered: concert & symphonic bands, marching & pep bands and indoor competitive drumline.

He is currently attending George Mason University studying a BM in Music Technology with an Electro-Acoustic emphasis. He plans to continue his musical growth through participation in various avenues on campus such as accompanying other musicians and participating in the college’s recreational drumline and grow professionally in providing audio-engineering for InTune.


Improv Guitar Solo Instructor And Mentor

Mr. Hall is a former working musician from the vibrant live music scene in Denver, Colorado where he performed as lead guitarist, steel guitarist, lead singer, and song writer for the well-established working and recording band The Honky Tonk Hangovers. His outfit headlined numerous top-tier live music establishments throughout Colorado, was a feature act at numerous festivals, and was called upon as the opening act for myriad national touring artists including the Brian Setzer Orchestra. During his musical career, he released two full length albums which were featured on a major regional label, received air time in the US and Europe, and received numerous rave reviews.
